.org'ers!

After reading an interesting post on westhamfans.org, i began to wonder, how much is Dean Ashton worth? After buying him for £7m in 2006, "Deano" has played 46 games for west ham scoring 15 goals. Seems like a small amount to me. Roughly a goal per three game ratio but since signing for West Ham, has his value depreciated like Sterling currency or increased like the unemployment rate! I don't know, but your views would be awesome.

Personally, I'd take £6m for him this window, anymore and I'd bite their hand off, any less, keep him.

  1. You'll also have noted on the westhamfans.org site then the debate to bring Michael Owen to Upton Park then. I fail to see the logic myself in the debates as to whether we let Deano go and in the same site argue the merits of bringing in another injury riddled striker, if only for the fact that Deano is some five or six years younger. You'd take £6 million for him would you, bearing in mind that he was in full training at the end of the season and is supposedly in line for a comeback, fully fit for this season? And who have we got so far? A mass of hysterical excitement about a striker in Jiminez, who may, or may not come good. I well remember the hysteria when we nicked Faubert, never mind Savio.

  2. Ha! Well of course the money we make will have to be used to put towards another striker. Faubert? Lets remember who signed him, or are you just talking about the way West Ham Fans can be so fickle?
