Mr Debut?
Mr Sears scores on his debut again?
The Crystal Palace loan signing secured his first goal against Crystal Palace USA, scoring the second goal of the game. Freddie has secured a season long loan at Crystal Palace, which is home of much hated manager Neil Warnock, despite turning down contracts for other Championship clubs. I don't know about you, but I am also looking forward to Palace's opening game against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday the 8th! Maybe he can score on his Championship debut too?
Julien Faubert looks as if he is off to Bayern Laverkusen after returning to West Ham after being on loan to Real Madrid where he warmed the bench and could often be heard snoring on it! He arrived in 2007 for a £6.1m deal and has made just 27 appearances scoring no goals. At the ripe age of 25 many people might suggest there is more to see of Julien, I agree.
Finally, the new Home kit has been deemed as questionable by many fans. Your views?

Eoin Wearen
Here at Claret & Blue Army, I've had the luxury of talking to one of West Ham's Rising stars, Eoin Wearen. The Youth Irish International has been capped 5 times for his country and got his first full team appearance against Greys on Sunday. Eoin is a tall and strong central midfielder who joined us from last year from St. Kevin's Boys on a youth contract.
For those a bit slow, Eoin's replies are in blue.
Eoin, thanks for talking to me, its quite an honor!
No worries mate.
OK, first off..
You made your first, first team appearance on Sunday against Greys in a pre-season friendly, what was the whole experience like? Was you nervous?
Yeah I was a little before the game since it was my first appearance but I tried not to think too much about it as being any different from other games.
Was there anyone playing along side you that day who you had a particular bond with on the field?
Well there are quite a few players who i have trained with throughout the past year and others which have stayed in the West Ham house this year so probably them.
Good answer!
Are there any top flight players in which you would compare your self to in style of play?
From West Ham or anyone?
Uhhhh.. give us a player from West Ham and another from elsewhere.
Jack Collison I suppose from West Ham that I would like to base my game around since he has everything and also Steven Gerrard. They would be the two I would try and base my game around.
Ha! Its like an Englishman and Irishman and a Welshman joke!
Haha yea.
So, be honest here, what do you think of the new West Ham home kit.. Questionable?
I just think its different and it will definitely take a bit of getting used to!
OK, as im sure you know, Matt Fry, Tony Brookes,Oliver Lee Daniel Kearns, Jack Lampe and Anthony Edgar, signed professional contracts this week, what do you make of these players? Are they the future Lampards, Rio's and Joe Coles?
I think they are a good group of players and from what I have seen of them in my first year they have all shown potential to achieve a good career in the game.
Ok, alot of the West Ham faithful had alot of faith in our loan signing Balint Bajner, but he wasnt offered a deal? Did he not make the grade or did his club want him back?
I cant answer that im sorry thats private within the club and to be honest I don't know the full details surrounding the situation!
Fair doo's mate!
No problem.
What do you think is a realistic target for yourself in 5 years time? I mean, where do you expect to be?
Well i hope to have established myself at west ham as a 1st team player and a key player in the squad!and also achieve success at full international level with Ireland.
Thats what we like to hear!
Whats your view on clubs such as Tottenham and Man United calling us their feeder club? With most top name players leaving. Is this something you think Zola should be ending?
I think the success Zola will bring to the club will help him keep hold of his key players as the club is improving all the time which is what players want is for a club to be moving in the right direction which i think is happening at West Ham.
Whats your rleationship like with Gianfranco? Do you have many conversations?
Well to be honest we have spoken on the pitch but very little off it as I try to just keep my head down and work hard.
Did you learn "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" when your joined the club? or did you already know it?
No i only begun to know all the words as soon as i joined the club im afraid to say
Who taught you it?
Just picked it up myself ha.
Whats your West Ham 11 for next season Eoin?
I will answer that as soon as the transfer window is closed as I reckon there will be a few more faces to be added into the squad.
I'll hold you to that!
Finally, who is the biggest West Ham fan at the club?
Is it 'Nobes' as we all guess?
Well that question I wouldn't know for definite but i would say that isn't a bad guess.
Thanks for your time Eoin.
To sum up, Eoin seems like a highly determined youngster, I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I look forward to things to come, Eoin looks to want to play for West Ham and not use us as a ship to bigger things!
Loyalty is well rewarded Eoin! Good luck buddy!

Embarrassing in defeat for the England skipper..
Poor "Nobes". Fans have been calling for him to be made West Ham captain all week, when finally poor Mark Noble feels as big as Giovinco ( http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/27062009/58/european-championship-u21-euroscout-sebastian-giovinco.html ).
England slumped to defeat after going 1-0 down just after half time. Noble didn't have his best game, giving the ball away several times. Although, I feel for young Noble, he plays with his heart on his sleeve and you can see passion in him whenever he plays, what more can you ask for?

Anton's triumphant return?
West Ham's prodigal son and Rio's lesser brother, Anton, who has had mixed reviews from pundits and fans alike since establishing himself in the first team several years ago. He has since made an £8m switch to Sunderland last summer.
Claret & Blue Army can reveal that West Ham are in fact making a cut price swoop for the young central defender. Zola has offered £2m to the newly appointed Steve Bruce for young Ferdinand's services. I for one would welcome Little Miss Ferdinand back, let it be a kick up the backside for him and maybe he's realised where his true home lies. Ferdinand made 23 appearances for Sunderland last term, scoring 0 goals.
In other news, Eidur Gudjohnson and Zola have pretty much confirmed the link with the Striker. The Daily Star reported that the Icelandic striker is keen for a Premier League come back, and that The Hammers would be ideal.

In light of the death of a king..
West Ham have once again been linked with every player that's unhappy at a club between here and Kathmandu. Kader Keita is the latest of names to have been plucked out the hat. Whilst he sounds like a outcast Star Wars character, he is in fact a 27 year old £11m rated winger from the Ivory Coast. The winger currently plays for former French champions, Lyon after signing from Lille in 2007 for a fee of £11m playing 50 times and scoring on 5 occasions. Perhaps a little out of our league? Keita has represented his national side (not tatooine!) on 33 occasions and scored 7 times.
I'm waiting for Dave's usually downside to every article i write, Dave's are easily startled, but they'll soon be back and in greater numbers!
I find your lack of faith disturbing!
/end quotes ;)

Ole ole ole ole.. Deano!
The speculation surrounding Dean Ashton is immense! The Hammers striker, nobody really knows if Stoke want him or not. Yahoo News confirm the interest from Stoke whilst BBC laugh it off as rubbish.
So, whats the deal, Deano?
Elsewhere I've read that West Ham have asked for £10m and on a interview i watched this morning the Stoke chairman stated that they were "a million miles away" from landing the chunky forward. Does this mean that the wheels are in motion at the very leas, or nothing at all.
Anyway, thats West Ham for ya!
