Poor "Nobes". Fans have been calling for him to be made West Ham captain all week, when finally poor Mark Noble feels as big as Giovinco ( http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/27062009/58/european-championship-u21-euroscout-sebastian-giovinco.html ).
England slumped to defeat after going 1-0 down just after half time. Noble didn't have his best game, giving the ball away several times. Although, I feel for young Noble, he plays with his heart on his sleeve and you can see passion in him whenever he plays, what more can you ask for?

Anton's triumphant return?
West Ham's prodigal son and Rio's lesser brother, Anton, who has had mixed reviews from pundits and fans alike since establishing himself in the first team several years ago. He has since made an £8m switch to Sunderland last summer.
Claret & Blue Army can reveal that West Ham are in fact making a cut price swoop for the young central defender. Zola has offered £2m to the newly appointed Steve Bruce for young Ferdinand's services. I for one would welcome Little Miss Ferdinand back, let it be a kick up the backside for him and maybe he's realised where his true home lies. Ferdinand made 23 appearances for Sunderland last term, scoring 0 goals.
In other news, Eidur Gudjohnson and Zola have pretty much confirmed the link with the Striker. The Daily Star reported that the Icelandic striker is keen for a Premier League come back, and that The Hammers would be ideal.

In light of the death of a king..
West Ham have once again been linked with every player that's unhappy at a club between here and Kathmandu. Kader Keita is the latest of names to have been plucked out the hat. Whilst he sounds like a outcast Star Wars character, he is in fact a 27 year old £11m rated winger from the Ivory Coast. The winger currently plays for former French champions, Lyon after signing from Lille in 2007 for a fee of £11m playing 50 times and scoring on 5 occasions. Perhaps a little out of our league? Keita has represented his national side (not tatooine!) on 33 occasions and scored 7 times.
I'm waiting for Dave's usually downside to every article i write, Dave's are easily startled, but they'll soon be back and in greater numbers!
I find your lack of faith disturbing!
/end quotes ;)

Ole ole ole ole.. Deano!
The speculation surrounding Dean Ashton is immense! The Hammers striker, nobody really knows if Stoke want him or not. Yahoo News confirm the interest from Stoke whilst BBC laugh it off as rubbish.
So, whats the deal, Deano?
Elsewhere I've read that West Ham have asked for £10m and on a interview i watched this morning the Stoke chairman stated that they were "a million miles away" from landing the chunky forward. Does this mean that the wheels are in motion at the very leas, or nothing at all.
Anyway, thats West Ham for ya!

.org'ers!
After reading an interesting post on westhamfans.org, i began to wonder, how much is Dean Ashton worth? After buying him for £7m in 2006, "Deano" has played 46 games for west ham scoring 15 goals. Seems like a small amount to me. Roughly a goal per three game ratio but since signing for West Ham, has his value depreciated like Sterling currency or increased like the unemployment rate! I don't know, but your views would be awesome.
Personally, I'd take £6m for him this window, anymore and I'd bite their hand off, any less, keep him.

Hammers sign Jimenez
Yes! Finally, its official, West Hams first singing of the close season. Luis Jimenez joins The Hammers from Jose Mourinho's Inter on loan, with a future option to make the deal permanent. Well done Mr. Clark! I assume thats your your doing, you cheeky boy!
Jimenez originally singed for on loan to inter in 2007 and singed a permanent contract in 2008. In his two seasons at the club the Chilean striker has managed 21 appearances and 3 goals.
Good luck son! Lets hope for a future Hammers legend!

Another random post with multiple topics..
Faubert? Real Madrid's ace?! Ha! Now apparently a Tottenham target. Faubert notched up 53minutes since signing for Madrid on loan in January. Spurs will be inquiring in how much exactly it will cost to purchase the French winger, despite his determination to stay put. Julian was used as a scapegoat for Madrid's poor season and on one occasion seemed to fall asleep whilst warming the bench!
West Ham once again are linked with Eidur Gudjohnson, the thirty year old striker joined Barcelona from Chelsea for a fee of €15m back in 2006. Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham also seem to be interested. Should we really be buying thirty year old players? I thought the appointment of Zola would ensure the singings of younger prospects for the future. Apparently not.
Dean Ashton seems to be top of the list for Stoke City. I can't imagine why he would want to leave West Ham for a team who could be relegated next season. Stoke manager Tony Pulis is set to bid for the bulky striker this before the end of the transfer window. The striker joined the Hammers from Norwhich for, what was previously a record £7.25M transfer.

Not a (Christian) daily post..
I see people are at least looking at the site! I'd appreciate anonymous or otherwise comments ;)
French men and more Italians!
Marc-Antoine Fortune seems to be the latest target for our beloved West Ham. According to the Sunday People, we've hijacked a 2.5m bid from Hull in the final hour.
Ironic, we seem to have lost out on a classy winger, in Mancini, and brought in a Frenchman who managed to be relegated with West Brom last season! Fortune, moved to the now championship side after joining in January on loan from French side Nancy, scoring 5 goals in 17 appearances.
Aquafresca, our other summer target, is being chatted up by Rog Hodgson. The Fulham manager wants to make the Serie A forward, a Cottager before the end of the transfer window. The West Ham and Fulham target is still only young at 21. The Italy U-21 star currently has a contract with Inter Milan but spent last term out on loan to Cagliari, making 36 appearances and scoring 14 goals.
Our interest in Inter Milan players makes me wonder about our relationship with ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who is Inter's current manager. Someone in claret and blue must be shagging him!

Sears, Owen and the two most mentioned names in west ham since Bobby Moore!
Our young Hornchurch lad, Freddie Sears seems to be off to the much hated Neil Warnock! Why on earth would young Sears want to play for a man thats trying to sue the man who's paying him? Especially after rejecting contracts from Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday. Personally, I'd have loved for Freddie to have scored in the Sheffield derby to see United sink!
According to the banter running around our 19 year old striker's arrogance is his undoing, having written off 2 cars already and speeding through my estate like a nutter 80% of the time rumors are circulating as to where our promising forwards priorities lie. A fair bit of animosity at Upton Park seems to be in the air as what we all feared has happened! The "I've already made it, I'm already famous" syndrome seems to have kicked in.
We shall see exactly what Freddie is made of when he spends the season at Warnock's Championship side.
There are rumors eminating from The Boleyn ground this week about the possibility of Gianfranco Zola, copying the "30 odd" page brochure that had been made for Ex England Wonderkid Michael Owen for fan favorites Dean Ashton and Kieron Dyer! The original idea of advertising already very well know players makes you wonder what exactly the marketing team are being paid for. Please correct me if you think im wrong, but are they trying to remind everyone what Michael Owen has done?
The chapters are as follows;
World Cup 1998
Injury
Euro 2000
Injury
World Cup 2002
Injury
Move to Madrid
Failure to leave lasting impression in Madrid
Injury
Move to Newcastle
Injury.
In fact, now i think of it, with all the injuries, the brochure is probably in place simply to remind people he still exists. Which is probably what Zola is thinking for Deano and Kieron too!
Finally. Zola assures us that the signings of Inter Milan stars Mancini and Jimenez, possibly the two most overused names in west ham culture recently, are well under way. Although apparently several Champions league playing sides have tried to hijack Mancini from straight under out noses. We'll see in days to come.
Ill keep you updated on anything official ( or otherwise ;)) that i may hear.

Welcome.
Ok, I'm 18, i'm an Essex lad and i love West Ham United. Having been a season ticket for the past 7 years now, i will never or have never claimed to know the ins and outs of West Ham history, (however much i try) i do know about west ham today. Spending most of my time surfing the net for the latest news, transfer rumours and any other random (or relevant) West Ham information, which i will post here for your amusement.
Please, post a reply, we'll have a banter and i hope to see you in the Boleyn on match day!
